Requirements
¡¤ Familiar with classification, marine regulatory codes and
international standards applicable to shipbuilding and
repairs/conversions.
¡¤ Recognized university degree in one of the following:
- Shipbuilding/Naval Architecture/Marine Technology
- Marine/Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering
¡¤ Must have at least 2-3 years or more relevant post-graduate
working
experience in design work in marine industry (shipbuilding or
repairs/conversions)
¡¤ Must be proficient in AutoCAD design/drafting. Computer
literate in
common application software, e.g., spreadsheets, MathCAD,
macro-programming, etc., will be an advantage
¡¤ Knowledge of TRIBON will be an added advantage
Launching Master
- In charge of Launching Process e.g. launchway preparation,
operations,
recovery, etc.
- Maintenance of launchway equipment
- Equipment set up, develop procedure for Ball Bearing method of
launching
- Supervise construction of permanent launchway and highlight critical
consideration
