This ship is the fruit of the partnership initiated in early 2014 between the administration of Southern and Antarctic Lands which is part of the French Navy and the the Polar Institute Paul-Emile Victor.

Beyond the amount of 50 million euros, this order will allow Piriou to prove its expertise in a new area for him, while the site was competing with European yards specialists polar ships.

This vessel will be equipped with the ultrasound system of Harsonic (44 transducers for the hull )for better performance and life at open sea.

Very fast Return On Investment
•In case vessels are lying still,
there will be a lot of fouling on the hull. Especially in hot waters fouling is a big problem. Before entering the port , the hull
must be cleaned. This cost is always very high
and the shipowner loses time.
•Thanks to Harsonic the shiphull stays free of
fouling, even when the ship doesn’t move.
